Trust is an important thing to have with your photographer and I felt it from the very beginning with Lauren & Jeff. They had seen me work with their friends Lauren & Christian on their wedding day and it transitioned from there on. We had an absolute blast. We met at their Connecticut Ave. apt and proceeded to head downtown to one of the most important spots in this couple’s history: The Supreme Court. Margot was there when the Supreme Court overturned the Defense of Marriage Act and, as a result, same sex marriages performed in states where they are legal are now recognized by the federal government. When Margot and Anne got married in Maryland in the fall, Anne, who hails from Germany, was able to get a green card through their marriage.

"A Smooth Sea Never Made A Skilled Sailor"
Carrie & Tyler met while sailing. She grew up on the waters of Deep Creek Lake where her family builds the well known "Flying Scot" sailboat. Tyler didn't get into it until after HS but began competing soon thereafter. Sailing is a big part of their lives and it serendipitously brought them together.
