Love is tough to pin down or describe. It's not as simple as a kiss. It's not as dramatic as dipping your partner. It's those subtle, in-between moments, where for a brief second you are pouring your connection into the other person and they are doing just the same into you. It's the moment right before the kiss, and also the moment right after. It's laughing so hard that tears come to your eyes. It is felt in your heart and your mind...peace, joy, and fulfillment....all at once.
It was a gorgeous blue bird day at Chanteclaire Farm, just outside of Deep Creek Lake, MD. The first thing that struck me was Alyssa's dress, an homage to Nick's South American roots (though at the time he had yet to know that...). The 2nd thing that struck me was the fact that she wanted her friends & family to join them for the First Look.

I'm on a FaceTime call w/ Krista & Justin, scoping out the wedding location and envisioning everything they're describing to me about their special day.
Who wouldn't want a lakefront wedding? Emily & Dennis are lake people to a "T" and decided to seal their nuptials on the shores of Deep Creek Lake in front of friends, family, stand up paddleboarders, and passing pontoons. They then retreated back to the cozy and rustic grounds of Chanteclaire Farm to share some incredible memories over a few toasts and dance the night away.
Like any good wedding, there were a lot of laughs, a few tears, and a party that nearly brought down the barn. Big thanks to Scott Josuweit for shooting this one with me.
