Definition 1 - simple past tense and participle of the word strike. 2 - to drive so as to cause impact. ex - "There was something about Matt & John's wedding that struck me"
It was a cool and overcast day @ Rodale Institute (the birthplace of organic) in Kutztown, PA for Matt & John's Wedding.
Today is Melissa & Jenna's 4-year "date-aversary"! Yes, on this day, 4 years ago, Melissa & Jenna met for the first time at Zeke's Coffee Shop in Baltimore, MD. And on this day, 4 years later, they are 71 days away from officially tying the knot. We thought it would only be fit to have their engagement shoot at Zeke's. From there we had a little picnic in a park by the Johns Hopkins area where we just let these two lovebirds do their thing.
What an event to shoot my last wedding of 2016! Philadelphia Wedding couple Julie & Jordan tied the knot at the Phoenixville Foundry on December 17th, 2016 with a grand total of 24 in their wedding party (the more the merrier right?). The winter setting played off perfectly against the elegant interior housing over 200 guests. I got to experience one of the most epic Horas of all time. They had a custom cake made by Federal Donuts and Big Ric Rising blew the roof off the joint.
Love is tough to pin down or describe. It's not as simple as a kiss. It's not as dramatic as dipping your partner. It's those subtle, in-between moments, where for a brief second you are pouring your connection into the other person and they are doing just the same into you. It's the moment right before the kiss, and also the moment right after. It's laughing so hard that tears come to your eyes. It is felt in your heart and your mind...peace, joy, and fulfillment....all at once.
On this beautiful day, Rachel, Tyler, their dog Koda, and myself, all got to know each other @ Union Mills in Westminster, MD. they climbed some picnic benches, I climbed a tree, and Koda ran around like a furry golden tornado. We were all content.
